root of 3. Plus each coil set is actually a phase of the alternator
and so when you measure the voltage or the current of the alternator
you also need to measure the phase. Plus once you know the perfect
output coming from one phase you can easily calculate the line output
of Delta and star.
You can also use your own diodes and start up your own rectifier
but be careful that AC lead is not used for the standard
rectifiers. The GM rectifier gives satisfying output though they are
expensive to buy but you can get a used one very cheap.
